USNA Grad facing Japan Prison

It has been reported in international press that former Navy pitcher Ridge Alkonis (2010, I think) is facing three years in prison for killing two elderly people in a car accident while departing Mt Fuji. It seems that altitude sickness is part of his defense. A
An appeal of the sentence is scheduled for 8 June.
